We buy Gold Sovereigns

The Royal Mint struck the first Gold Sovereign in 1489 and since then it has survived to become the most trusted bullion coin in existence.  No other bullion coin has a secondary market that is so well established, making the Gold Sovereign a sought after item.

The Gold Sovereign draws its value from various factors, including its gold content, the market price of Gold, and its rarity or historical significance.  The first Gold Sovereigns date back to the Tudor Dynasty, who minted Gold Coinage as a symbol of wealth and prestige.  Following the Battle of Waterloo, a new Gold Sovereign was released by the Royal Mint, containing a precise amount of high purity gold.  The Royal Mint continues to stroke these coins for collectors and investors, maintaining the exact specification.

Gold Sovereigns from certain years were minted in fewer quantities, making them highly sought after.  In addition, certain quantities were minted at the old international branches of the Royal Mint, such as Australia, Canada and South Africa, each of these items being identifiable by tiny mint marks, making these latter highly sought after.  The 2022 Sovereign Bullion, Platinum Jubilee design, includes a Half Sovereign, Sovereign, Double Sovereign and a Quarter Sovereign.  If you have in your possession any of these Gold Sovereigns from any year, we are looking to purchase any such items.
